The El Socorro Centre for Wildlife Conservation rehabilitates orphaned and injured wildlife with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats. The Centre, operated by Gia Narinesingh and Ricardo Meade, also focuses on educating the public about the biodiversity of Trinidad and Tobago in order to promote conservation.

Book Signing, Reception & Launch of San Fernando Book Fair,

and held on 23rd April 2014.
Ako Mutota, Director of Jegna Institute, hosted the author at Mayaro , and had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Venkatraman for The Caribbean Insight on Saturday 19th prior to her book launch.
